A Seven-Day Wedding Festival
This wedding’s guests were pampered with parties, activities and fun for an entire week which culminated in the icing on the cake – the wedding itself
He’s Israeli, she’s Italian. Both are strongly connected to Judaism. The result: a week of indulgence that began with a traditional Moroccan Henna ceremony in the middle of the desert and ended in a European style wedding at the Yaarot Ha'Carmel spa resort. It was a solid week of fun that began the moment some of the guests arrived in Israel.
Having barely landed, the guests were whisked to a desert Khan to bask in lavish Bedouin hospitality.
The Henna ceremony on the desert backdrop offered no clue as to what awaited them – a sumptuous Moroccan palace especially created inside the Khan’s stone building.
When the doors opened, the guests found themselves standing in a Moroccan fantasy in gold and red, straight from the heart of Marrakesh, with splendid flower arrangements, delicious Moroccan food and a performance by Sfatayim, the most Moroccan band around. This was the bride’s family’s first Henna ceremony, so to get them into the mood the planners provided them with traditional Moroccan ceremonial costumes.
The success was unequivocal, proving that Moroccans and Italians are natural allies when it comes to partying Mediterranean style.
The guests remained at the Khan overnight and spent the following day hiking in the desert. In the afternoon, they got into the cars and set out for the Yaarot Ha’Carmel spa resort up north.
The entire resort was reserved in advance for five days of indulgences from massages and body treatments to the specially tailored gourmet-menu. As anticipation for the big day mounted, the family and guests celebrated the Shabbat Chatan – a traditional prenuptial celebration. The day of the wedding started off with everyone sunbathing on the lawn, an activity that had already become a daily ritual. After getting some rest, the guests came back outside to discover a breathtaking event garden were just hours ago they lounged in the sun.
The sunset marriage ceremony was held in the midst of a nearby forest, with everything immersed in white, silver and Tiffani blue – the bride’s favorite color.
After the service, the guests walked up to the cocktail area, escorted by a band of singing and dancing Breslau devotees. The dining area was exceptionally elegant with sitting areas, a dance floor, an orchestra and poolside bars.

A ram’s horn fanfare announced the beginning of the all-night bash that only sunrise could bring to an end, barely. Among the numerous enrapturing performances was that of Idan Reichel’s – a special surprise which had the guests shaking it on the dance floor until dawn.
